Riyaz is the urdu word for the morning practice of traditional Hindustani Music. Inside the Guru-Shishya Parampara tradition, the student follows a strict discipline to penetrate its subject. That subject is usually a particular raga.

This CD is a riyaz diary of my last year as sitar shishya (music pupil). A musical summary of our tireless work to achieve the goal of knowing Raag Kalyan in depth.
